We realize that scheduling precise dates months in advance is difficult. Please provide your best estimate as we will be blocking of a space for you, making that space unavailable to others. We treat this as a formal reservation and ask that changes to arrival and departure dates be provided ASAP (emailed to pymlab@pitt.edu) and at least one week in advance of any change. See PLE Researcher Policies document below for specific financial consequences of last second changes.

If your request is for multiple time periods across the season, provide that detail below. Please note that it will be necessary to remove all belongings from lab/office to avoid being charged for the space during periods of absence in the middle of the season.
Please note that there is a $250 flat fee for any PLE research project that is using our field or forest areas but not paying bench fees for lab and office space. For relatively large projects of this type there may be an additional negotiated charge.

Dining Hall Options

While all of our researcher residences have kitchen facilities, sometimes researchers prefer to let someone else do the cooking for them! Catered meals are available in the PLE Dining Hall while our field courses are running (mid May to early August). When meals are served and the cost of catered meals is available on the PLE website

In order to do research involving vertebrate animals, PLE researchers MUST have an approved Animal Care Protocol from the University of Pittsburgh IACUC. If one is pending, please send a copy when it arrives.
List any field equipment you will need to borrow from PLE and any assistance you might need from PLE staff including plowing, mowing, hauling, etc. (see fee schedule in Researcher Policies document below)
