• BGDA Inc Membership Application, Confirmation of Membership Status and Adjudication Expression of Interest

  • This is the form that you are required to fill out in order to apply to: a) become a member b) become an adjudicator c) renew your membership.

For those applying or reapplying to become members, it will ask you some basic questions in order for the Executive to determine whether your application is appropriate and in keeping with the goals of our organisation. You may also apply to adjudicate in the Competition.

For those applying to become an adjudicator, you will be asked questions about your background in debating and adjudicating. Although it is a requirement that all adjudicators are members, you may elect to apply for membership generally if your application to be an adjudicator is unsuccessful.

Please note that if accepted as a member, your membership will last for a period of 12 months or to the next AGM (whichever is longer). At that time, you will have to reapply to continue your membership.

  • Per Rule 17(4) of the Constitution, this form will now affirm your eligibility for membership. Given that the criteria for reaffirmation are the same as those for new membership, this form will treat your application as a new application for membership.
