    Applications will be accepted November 1 - March 15. Applicants won't be considered until all forms are submitted, so please do so ASAP! You cannot be hired without three recommendations.

  • Camp Mohaven's policy requires that all individuals who work with children, whether volunteer or paid, submit a background check. This procedure is done for the protection of the campers. We thank you for your understanding in this matter.

    If you are chosen to be hired at Camp Mohaven this summer, we will contact you by email, and then you will be required to go through an online training session (allow 1/2 - 1 hour) and background check before the hiring can be complete. You will be able to do this on any computer with internet capability on your own free time.

    Once finished with this training session, the company, "Verified Volunteers," will complete an extensive background check and let us know if you are cleared for hire.

  • 1. Completed applications are compiled with returned recommendation forms. All references must be in our office before we can process your application.

    2. Applications, recommendation forms and interview notes are considered in context of the positions that need to be filled.

    3. Further recommendations may be sought from those acquainted with the applicant.

    4. All applicants will receive an email indicating one of these three decisions (by April 15).
        a. hired as a staff member
        b. waiting list (Due to cancellations and changes in plans, a position may be available by summer.)
        c. unable to hire this summer.

    5. For hired staff, contracts and payroll information will be sent prior to camp.

    As parent or legal guardian I give my permission for the Ohio Conference of SDA to use pictures of my child taken during camp for promotional purposes.
