ARF reserves the right to refuse anyone adoption, if in our opinion the best interest of the pet will not be served.
Please read and consider the terms and conditions of this adoption as noted below. You are required to answer if you have read, understand and will abide by this conditions. Your answer of Yes and submission of this application indicates your agreement with these terms:
As with any rescued animal, ARF animals may not be house-trained and may have suffered abuse in their past. These pets may also have medical problems which ARF representatives may not be aware of prior to adoption. I understand that while ARF attempts to gain as much knowledge about each animal as possible and to pass this knowledge to each potential adoptee, ARF may not know the true history of any of its rescues or how this rescued pet will act in a new environment.
I understand and accept that changes in this pets environment may cause stress, which may result in accidents or some behavioral difficulties, especially for the first week or two following the adoptions. I am willing to work with my new pet with patience and understanding, and at no time will subject this pet to violence or cruelty.
I agree to always furnish this pet with adequate food and water and to have this cat live indoors only.
I agree to provide my pet with annual vaccinations, flea/tick protection, and any other necessary treatment for injury or illness.
I agree to never declaw my cat.
I agree to never abandon this pet or to surrender it to a city or county shelter. If, for any reason, I can no longer care for this pet, I AGREE TO RETURN MY PET TO ARF. I understand that I may return my pet within 30 days for a full refund of my adoption fee/donation. If I return my pet after 30 days, my adoption fee/donation is non-refundable.
I understand that ARF does not make any guarantees as to the health, temperament, or ultimate size of any rescued pet and thus cannot be held liable for any incidents related to this pet.
If you come to ARF to adopt a cat, please remember to bring a cat carrier with you to transport your new pet home!
