HOW TO ENTER
Read the conditions of entry to ensure your entry is eligible:
CONDITIONS OF ENTRY
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists who reside in the traditional areas of Worimi, Biripi, Dunghutti and Gumbaynggirr nations can enter up to two artworks in two-dimensional form completed in 2019 or 2020.
2. Delivery of Entry Form and Artwork/s
The artist must submit the completed entry form and images of the artworks by 4.00pm Friday 30 October 2020.
The completed entry form and images of the work must be either; emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org or posted to PO Box 703, Coffs Harbour NSW 2450.
All artworks entered will go through a selection process by the curator.
Only selected artworks will go through to the Award and exhibition.
SWFW will contact artists with the outcome of the selection process by 4pm Monday 30 November 2020.
Successful artists must deliver their selected artworks to the Glasshouse Regional Gallery, Corner of Clarence and Hay Streets, Port Macquarie by Friday 19 February 2021.
3. Return of Artworks
Artworks must be picked up from the Wadjar Gallery after the completion of the exhibition by Friday 11 February 2022.
4. Freight of Artworks
The artist is responsible for the delivery of their selected artworks to the Glasshouse Regional Gallery by Friday 19 February 2021 and collection of the artworks from the Wadjar Regional Indigenous Gallery at the close of the exhibition. Artworks must be picked up from the Wadjar Gallery after the completion of the exhibition by Friday 11 February 2022.
SWFW will be responsible for freight of the works for the duration of the tour.
Freight support is available on application to SWFW.
SWFW will provide insurance cover for the transportation of works for the duration of the tour. The Glasshouse Regional Gallery, Coffs Harbour Regional Gallery, Manning Regional Gallery and Wadjar Aboriginal Art Gallery will cover insurance of all artwork during the exhibition period.
6. Selection and Display of Works
Entry into the 2021 SWFWAAA is not a guarantee of artworks being selected. Only selected works will be entered into exhibition.
All selected works must remain in the 2021 SWFWAAA exhibition until the completion of the tour at Wadjar Regional Indigenous Gallery. Unsold artworks will be available for pick up from Monday 31 January 2022, all works must be picked up by Friday 11 February 2022.
The 2021 SWFWAAA exhibition dates are below:
Glasshouse Regional Gallery 27 February 2021 to 18 April 2021
Coffs Harbour Regional Gallery 28 May 2021 to 6 August 2021
Manning Regional Gallery 14 October 2021 to 28 November 2021
Wadjar Regional Indigenous Gallery 04 December 2021 to 29 January 2022
All selected works must be clearly labelled on the back with the artist’s name, title of work and a directional arrow and or word.

8. Framing and Size
Two-dimensional artwork must be securely framed with “D” hooks attached to ensure safe hanging of the work where appropriate. Wire must not be used. Maximum size for a two-dimensional work including framing is 100cm x 130cm.
All works including its packaging must be light enough to be moved and installed by no more than two people. Please ensure your works are sufficiently packaged for freight.
Works that are unframed, oversize or over weight may be excluded from the SWFWAAA.
The judge will view all selected works entered into the SWFWAAA prior to the exhibition opening. The decision of the judge will be final and no correspondence will be entered into after that decision is made. The winning artwork of the SWFWAAA Open Acquisitive Prize will become the property of SWFW after the prize money of $5,000 is paid to the artist.
10. Results and exhibition opening
The winner of the Award will be announced at the opening night, 6pm Friday 26 February 2021 at the Glasshouse Regional Gallery in Port Macquarie.
11. Sales and commission
All work must be available for sale. Sale price includes a commission of 33.3% (GST included) which will be deducted from the sale price on all works sold.
