Application to Conduct Research in the Wake County Public School System Instructions

This Application to Conduct Research must be completed when proposing a study or research project in the Wake County Public School System ("WCPSS"). Complete all fields and be sure to click "Submit" at the bottom of the page.

Once you submit your application, you will receive a confirmation email notifying you that we received your application. A member of the Research Review Committee ("RRC") will be in touch within one week of our application review, which occurs on the last Wednesday of each month. Please describe why publicly available data (e.g., WCPSS District Facts, NCDPI accountability datasets and reports, etc.) are inadequate for the purposes of your research project.

Provide a short narrative of the motivation behind this proposal, its primary research question, and its hypothesis.

Describe the scope of your proposed study. Include, where applicable, participant types (e.g. students, staff, parents, schools), relevant subgroups, subjects, sample sizes, and duration.
