Youth Awareness Program (YAP-Tanzania), is a two years project sponsored by Norway, Japan and United States of America Youth Empowerment Program aiming in creating awareness among the youth in Tanzania and general population as a whole.YAP-Tanzania is implemented by Graduate International Organisation(GIO) from its country office in Stone Town,Zanzibar-Tanzania The project is designed to utilize committed volunteers to address issues like, Awareness on Corruption, Human Rights, Drug Abuse and Sexual Abuse, Awareness on Human Trafficking, Awareness on Gambling, Awareness on Constitution and Democracy. YAP-Tanzania constitutes various activities including Youth Trainings and workshops, Public Awareness Campaigns, Youth Public Forums, Integrating Media and Reality Tv shows, and finally is youth mobilization and sensitization. General project objective is Creating a competent, confident and a well-informed youth population on the current challenges facing Tanzania and the world at large. The project target population is regions of Katavi, Simiyu, Dar es salaam, Arusha,Tanga Morogoro, Mwanza,Dodoma, Shinyanga, Lindi, Geita, Pemba, Unguja , Pwani,Kilimanjaro, Zanzibar na Mara.Graduate International Organization (GIO) will only assent volunteers who’ve enrolled in training session, please if you have not fulfilled all the requirements in this form to register for the Volunteers TOT Training please let us know as soon as possible so that our volunteers coordination team can replace your name by offering this opportunity to others by writing to this email: gio@graduate.org with the Subject Title: Withdrawing from YAP-Tanzania/Volunteers

Details on Volunteers Training Requirements. GIO only invite dedicated and committed volunteers who will be working as Awareness Creation Officers in various regions of Tanzania Mainland and Zanzibar. If you are looking for nice and wealth package and other bonuses we strongly discourage you to apply, remember that our organization doesn’t pay salary for volunteers, but only offers necessary incentives to create smooth volunteering environment like per diem, transportation, communication and accommodation as clearly described in the job advertisement sheet. All successful candidates are obligated to ENROLL in a two weeks training session which will be conducted 20th to 31st January 2014 in Dar es Salaam. Each applicant is required by GIO to register for the respective training by contributing through registration fee of Tshs 30,000/=(tax free). The paid amount will cover for your certificate, training materials, software, and part of it will be used in covering for trainer’s expenses.This training will be conducted by Execs Training Specialist from South Africa. After the Training all the candidates will sit for one written aptitude test, one on one interview and practical applications of theoretical knowledge assimilated during the training. Only candidates who will pass our aptitude test and interview shall be contracted for the volunteer job. GIO will cover for all necessary expenses of volunteers during the training like food, accommodation, and local transport. All these expenses during the training shall be covered In-Kind; GIO shall not and will not give cash money to volunteers during the whole training time. This is because majority of the expenses shall be covered by our partner hotels and other donors.
