I want Wellington to have a world-class public transport system.

I support a dedicated public transport corridor from the Railway Station to Newtown and Kilbirnie, with capacity for significant future growth in ridership, as a high priority for Wellington’s future.

I request an independent reassessment of light rail on a route via Constable Street in Newtown, avoiding the need for a tunnel.

I support building light rail if the reassessment indicates it’s cost-effective, or else improving the bus rapid transit option to deliver higher capacity and reliability.

I advocate for clean renewable electricity or sustainable local biofuels to fuel Wellington's public transport systems.

I support prioritising use of road space for public transport as required to deliver faster, more reliable service.

I want to see things happen fast, beginning with establishing bus-only lanes and other priority measures along the designated route.

I want to see more frequent off-peak rail services, and a free bus service connecting the Railway Station and Courtenay Place trialed as an interim step before integrated ticketing is introduced.

I request that city and regional councils act to consider the broader Fast Forward Wellington plan and provide a formal response.
