Greeting & Introduction
Cover Image & Purchase Menu
I will actually do this for you, but I included it in the template so you would be familiarized with the layout. It will include purchase links (again, I will do this part) for our readers to immediately purchase the title from their choice of various online sources.

Book & Movie Trailers
Book Trailers are becoming more frequent and are especially neat to include. If the book has been optioned for a movie, that trailer (or both) would go here, too.
Gems for Writers
On the blog we review books differently; as its founder is a writer, the aspects upon which we review the titles are elements of fiction that create a deeper, richer, more developed story. The greatest stories ever told consist of some the following elements; it is your duty, as the reviewer, to identify the literary elements within the story that make it a well-written best-seller (or the ones that cause it to fall short, for that matter). Yes, this is a book review—but books start with the authors. Keep in mind that these are not cut-and-dry; some of these elements will—and do—overlap. Generally, we choose two (2) to four (4) Gems; most frequently, though, we shoot for three (3). For more help with these, consult the Gem List or browse through the completed Book Spotlights on the blog.
Pebbles to Polish
This section will not appear in every post. It is optional and should be used sparingly at the reviewer’s discretion. It is not a place to explore your personal literary pet peeves, but rather highlights elements that seriously detract from the enjoyment of the story. As with Gems, feel free to make up your own, but be prepared to rationalize your choice with the Editorial Staff if asked to do so. Use of this section should be reflected in the book’s rating—a book with a rating of 5 should have no need for this section. Whenever possible, use more Gems than Pebble elements. If you feel there are simply no redeeming qualities in a book, consult the Editorial Staff as to whether a review should be published at all. We’re aware that not every book is for every reader, so if you’re a vegetarian and you accidentally picked up a book about the joy of eating steak, we’ll accommodate you as best we can. Please remember that we are professionals and refrain from personal attacks on the author. Such material will not be published. For more help with these, consult the Pebbles List.
Rating
The rating system is a 5-star system. You can rate the title from 1-5, including half-steps. Just state your rating in this section, and I will replicate it with the appropriate graphics.
