  • Jesus says, ‘Repent, for the Kingdom of heaven is at hand.’ As we previously saw, repentance is fundamentally a change in what we value (from evil treasure to good treasure). The following parable connects this idea of repentance with the Kingdom of heaven.

  • Matthew 13:44 "The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field, which a man found and covered up. Then in his joy he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field.

  • In this meditation we have seen that Jesus' call to repent is the call to treasure the Kingdom of God more than anything else in life.


    In the next meditation, we will begin to think about this call to repentance in regard to specific aspects of our lives.
